Seeking full-time and part-time Anesthesiologists to join our team at the Sacramento VA Medical Center in Mather, CA. This is a 60-bed hospital serving Veterans in Northern California. Regional anesthesia for acute pain required. Some vascular experience desired. Opportunities for work in simulation laboratory. Possible supervision of UC Davis residents, CRNA's or AA's, but none currently. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience after residency or fellowship.
Highlights include:
Staffing model of 14 Anesthesiologists for 4 ORs and some OOR coverage
Approximately 5300 total cases completed per year
Diverse case mix and complexities including Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Interventional Radiology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology Robotics, Vascular, Urology, and some Neuro/Spine (only if at DGMC)

Salary Range: $350,000-$370,000
Work Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, 7:00a-5:30p (compressed schedule) per week; On-call: (call may be taken from home if within 30-minute drive) approximately two to three weekday calls per month, and six to seven weekends per year (fractional equivalent if part-time).

Candidates must: 1) be a US citizen or PRA (Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with [38 U.S.C. § 7407(a)]; 2) possess a current, full, unrestricted medical license in any state, 3) board prepared/certified in Anesthesiology, and 4) and confirm vaccination for seasonal influenza and Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), which are both requirements for all Health Care Personnel (HCP) employed by Department of Veterans Affairs. Preferred experience: board certified in Anesthesiology with 2 years of experience after residency or fellowship.
