Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) is recruiting Chief Medical Executive/Chief of Staff. This position reports to the Deputy Director/Commanding Officer at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC). The Chief Medical Executive (CME) is responsible for maintaining all operations and direct reports within Medical Practice Directorate which includes: the department of Medicine, Surgery, Mental Health, Clinical Support and Primary Care. The CME will be supported by the Assistant Chief Medical Executives for Research & Development, Ambulatory Care, Clinical Affairs, Chief Medical Information Officer and Academic Affiliations along with administrative staff. This position serves as a point of contact for physicians and clinical staff assigned to the directorate. This will include, but is not limited to training, documentation, workflow process and other functionality regarding necessary clinical systems. This individual will work with all care providers and support to optimize the usage of clinical systems through education and training, quality and outcomes, and providing support in accordance with organizational goals. S/he will work closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure that the highest standards of quality and services are maintained. In addition, also serves as a liaison between customers, Information Technology staff and other departments and services. This individual will also work directly with all levels of the organization on projects, committees, and teams to meet the overall needs of Medical Practice Directorate and the facility. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am until 4:30 pm or as needed Due to the nature of this leadership position, it is expected that working hours could be extended beyond the normal tour of duty and it is expected be available 24/7 as well as holidays and weekends if needed.
