ChristianaCare seeks an Associate Medical Director, Trauma Surgery to join a collegial group of 8 fellowship-trained Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgeons at our Level 1 Trauma Center in Newark, Delaware. Qualified applicants will be board certified in general surgery and board eligible or certified for added qualifications in Surgical Critical Care. Applicants will be expected to participate in trauma call and rotational coverage of the trauma service, emergency general surgery, and our 22-bed surgical intensive care unit.
In addition to trauma, critical care and EGS coverage, demonstrated interest in research is preferred as we are a level 1 center, and education of residents and students. Adding to that and relating to the position with the title: demonstrated leadership, commitment to trauma quality improvement initiatives, trauma involvement at a regional, national level, willingness and ability to work on leadership teams, current hospital systemwide experience.
