ResponsibilitiesIn this key role, you will manage all business, regulatory and operational activities for the Pathology Biospecimen and Biobanking Research Cores located within the Department of Pathology at the David Geffen School of Medicine. This will involve overseeing the administration, operations, and financial viability of several research service units. Primary responsibilities include:
•Direct a team that includes a CPRS/PRP Supervisor, histotechnicians, researchers and lab assistants •Assure development, execution and completion of research projects •Manage revenue and expense trends •Complete annual budgets for all cores •Serve as the lead liaison between other UCLA clinical trial groups •Oversee regulatory and compliance efforts pertaining to CAP accreditation
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused, self-motivated professional with:
•Previous supervisory and performance management experience – five years preferred •Solid research lab experience •PhD highly desirable •Knowledge of financial terms and business principles •Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships •Excellent communication, prioritization, delegation and organizational skills •Ability to thrive within a large, matrixed organization •Computer and data management expertise •Experience in digital pathology management a plus •Experience in biorepository management desired •Familiarity with UC policies and regulations preferred
