The Marion VA Medical Center is seeking two full-time Radiologists. The Radiologists for these positions will be specialized in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging techniques. The Marion VA Health Care System is currently recruiting for two Radiologists for our Marion, Illinois location. The Radiologist operates independently in the Imaging Service under the general supervision of the Chief of Radiology. The Imaging Service is a busy department which performs a wide range of diagnostic examinations. The selected Radiologist scope of practice includes but is not limited to: Interpretation of general radiology examinations (plain film, CT, US, MRI) as required. This includes examinations of the head, neck, chest, abdomen/pelvis, and extremities. Performance of basic fluoroscopic examinations (such as upper GIs). Protocolling MRI and CT studies as well as aiding medical providers in selecting the appropriate study. Participation in Quality Management activities such as image quality, peer review, and other activities as needed. A tele-service provides coverage after hours, on weekends, and holidays. The radiologists alternate taking call in the event the reading service is unavailable. The Radiologist for this position will be specialized in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging techniques. Work Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Call and flexible hours may be needed in performance of duties. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required.
