VA Long Beach Healthcare System is looking for a Deputy Chief of Spinal Cord & Injury (SCI/D). The Deputy Chief SCI/D is reports to the Chief SCI/D and is responsible for the clinical services provided in both the inpatient and outpatient settings of the Long Beach VA Healthcare System. The Deputy Chief of SCI/D manages day to day activities of the healthcare group (HCG). The major duties include but are not limited to: Manages day to day activity of the HCG Provides direct patient care, education to staff, patient and family members as delineated in clinical privileges. Participates in outreach/education programs to the general community as well as SCI spoke clinics, Committee Boards, lean processes for improvement of patient care services, Peer Review and Quality Improvement Initiatives, Performance Improvement programs, . Collaborates with SCI/D care teams, community outreach, other healthcare groups. Other duties as assigned. Preferred Experience: Leadership and/or Supervisory experience (includes leadership development programs). Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm; Tour of Duty may vary depending on needs of SCI/D.
