The Mountain Home VA Health Care System is recruiting for an Full Time, Permanent, Physician Gastroenterologist. This position is located in the Specialty Medicine Service Line, at the Mountain Home, TN VAHCS. Throughout the duration of this vacancy announcement, applications that are received will be referred to the selecting official on a bi-weekly basis. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Knowledge in the digestive system, including any possible disease and the proper treatment for each one. Diagnosis a variety of conditions that can affect the digestive system and is able to recommend treatment. Ensure the safety of patients in performing procedures. Ability to effectively treat and provide medical advice to guarantee optimum outcomes. Peer review committee as needed. Coordinate the patient care by effective communication with PCP, Inpatient, ED and outside services. Other duties as assigned by Chief of Medicine. Perform administrative tasks as assigned, such as peer reviews, Compensation and Pension evaluations, and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE). Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) Financial Disclosure Report: Required
