The Department of Neonatology at Children’s Minnesota is looking to add Pediatricians with strong delivery, newborn care, and special care nursery experience and interest to serve in the role of Neonatal Hospitalist and join our newly redesigned Neonatology care team. The Pediatrician will join our experienced team of over 500 neonatal experts. The successful candidate will become an integral partner within a care team of over 500 neonatal experts which staffs the largest high-risk neonatal referral program in the upper Midwest and one of the largest programs in the country with 194 staffed NICU beds providing care to over 1900 newborns each year. The physician will be joining a team of neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, pediatric pharmacists, respiratory therapists, dietitians and other professionals to provide clinical expertise and compassionate care. The department is comprised of our infant care nurseries, Level II Special Care Nurseries, and Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Units. The program covers both of our Hospital campuses in Minneapolis / St. Paul and boasts a neonatal transport program which provides both air and ground transport to more than 500 babies annually. The role of the neonatal hospitalist will be in attending deliveries, doing procedures and managing patients in the neonatal units at Children’s Minnesota, with the supervision provided by neonatologists present in-house 24/7.
