Community Behavioral Health (CBH), part of Philadelphia’s award-winning Department of Behavioral Health & Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS), has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Medical Director of Addiction Services. CBH’s mission is to ensure and promote access to the best quality care for the needs of our members. In this highly visible position, the successful candidate will provide leadership, strategic vision, and guidance to promote and enhance quality care. This position will look broadly at systems, policy and structural level concerns within the behavioral health service delivery systems throughout the DBHIDS. This position will provide leadership in the implementation of recovery and resilience practices within the behavioral health system transformation. The candidate must be able to think in a systemic capacity and be an effective ambassador as they will work closely with diverse groups, including city agencies and departments, service providers, advocacy groups, the school district of Philadelphia, juvenile justice system, and other stakeholders. In addition, this position will provide leadership to our care management teams, review and authorize inpatient and residential levels of care, participate in quality management activities, and ensure appropriate coordination of care, as needed, with physical health managed care organizations. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative and managerial skills, as well as exceptional clinical acumen, and may also be considered for the additional role of Director of Medical Affairs. Additional administrative responsibilities include supervising CBH's Physician Advisors, as well as taking a leadership role in the development and implementation of clinical policy and initiatives throughout the Departments of Medical Affairs, Psychology and Clinical Management within CBH.
