Providence is calling a Cardiac Sonographer(Outreach Clinics, Days, Part time - .75 FTE) to Providence Medical Group in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Conduct procedures for patients with known or suspected congenital or acquired heart disease or other disorders.
Work closely with cross-functional teams in the assessment, treatment, and care of patients and their families.
Complete all required paperwork & tracking associated with services provided by the department.
Travel to our outreach clinics in Moses Lake, Lewiston, Post Falls, Omak, Pullman, Moscow, Tri-Cities and Walla Walla.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate's degree (A.A.) or Bachelor's degree in Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technology or Ultrasound from an accredited program OR equivalent combination of education, formal training and work experience
Board Certification or eligibility for certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer and/or Board Certification or eligibility for certification by Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer. Certification must be passed within the first 6 months of employment
Current Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire
Active registration must be maintained with continuing medical education (CME) units on an ongoing basis
Must be able to work with wide age range of patients from prenatal (fetal) to adult
Previous experience in a clinical setting
Knowledge of medical terminology and accurate spelling and grammar
Computer, keyboarding and telephone skills
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric echo lab This experience must be with patients with complex congenital heart disease in a variety of settings including NICU/PICU Perform two-dimensional, M-Mode, Spectra/Doppler, Color Doppler, Tissue Doppler and Tissue Velocity Imaging
