Kadlec has an exciting opportunity for an Endoscopy Procedure Technician to join our growing team\!
Shift Details: Full time 1\.0\. Variable day & evening shifts\. Rotating evening and weekend call required\.
GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution required\.
6 months healthcare experience required\.
Must complete the GI Associate's skill validation test and achieve title of GI technical specialist within one year from date of hire into the position\.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required\.
Endoscopy technician experience preferred\.
Current WA State Certified Nursing Assistant Licensure preferred\.
Bi\-lingual or multi\-lingual skills preferred\.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
As an Endoscopy Procedure Technician you will perform assist in the preparation and care of gastrointestinal endoscopy and bronchoscopy procedures ranging from infants to geriatrics; Assist the physician with equipment and instrumentation during the procedures; and perform routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies\.
Consistently maintains a customer service focus when providing patient care\. Sets up the assigned procedure room following established department procedures ensuring the equipment is appropriate for the specific procedure\. Obtains and arranges on instrument table all supplies that are required for the procedure\.
Assists in positioning the patient when needed\.
Adheres to department policies and procedures related to aseptic and sterile technique; complies with Universal Precautions and endoscopy procedure dress code\.
Assists physician during the procedure by passing instruments and other needed equipment as requested and cares for instruments/equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations and department policies\.
Participates in the "Time Out" procedure prior to each procedure\.
